  Fear and guilt

  went to a borg assembly the other day.

  the only thing i remember is them preaching fear and guilt, fear and guilt.

  i heard a jw sister say how she pioneered because she felt so guilty.

I thought is that a good reason why someone should pioneer?? It is a good thing that I see there mind controlling game now but I understand why for so many years I felt so insignificant and so unworthy to even live. I am sure glad that is behind me now.

  the watchtower is right about this.. w.4.1.02 pg3.. "if we are truly interested in pleasing god,should we not consider seriously the accuracy of what we believe about him?".

  of course that is unless you are a witness where "mature christians....do not harbour private ideas when it comes to bible understanding".

  are these watchtower writers so stupid as not to notice there absolutly contradictory statements they make?.

  I have read a little on the history of Freemasonry. It is correct that some prominent people were Freemason's, like Benjamin Franklin and George Washington. As a matter of fact most of the founding fathers were Freemasons. Like any religion, they would like it if everyone thought the same way that they do but is there really a conspiracy to rule the world??? I have found that Fundamental Christians don't like the Freemasons because the Freemasons do not promote any one religion over another. So then you have to consider that any hate literature by such Fundamental Christians, have a self serving reason to propagated it.

  My brother tells me about the time a Jdub was talking to him as he was working in his garage. My brother got so pissed off at him he went inside and slammed the door leaving the dub standing there. He said he went out back out there 15 minutes later and the dub was still standing there waiting for him. They sure don't take a hint do they.

  yes, im sick!

  my father willingly allowed himself to be reabsorbed by the borg!.

  during the time he was dfd and separated from my mother (church lady) i tried to help him see through to the real colors of the organization.. he has not one spiritual bone in his body and never has.. he really didnt want to discuss it.. i was concerned because i knew that between the organization and my mom he just believed he was a bad person who would be destroyed at armageddon.

  Slander in the congregation.

  kaethra's comment on a sister's paranoia about slander behind her back got me thinking of my mums own suspicions.

  she married my dad when he was an unbaptized person and this was frowned upon.

  she'd been previously married and had to divorce cause he had another wife in another country.

  I can understand fully what your mother is going through. I know with my own situation that after my divorce, my ex spread rumors about me. To this day there are certain ones that still treat me differently. All the best to you and take each day as it comes and enjoy life to the fullest.

  Have there been "mass DF'ings" lately?

  the reason i ask this is because my brother came by my job today for some brake repairs.

  for those of you who don't know, he was df'd a few months ago.. i was working while we talked and he was kind of vague.

  but i mentioned his df'ing and from what he said a whole lot of his friends locally got df'd and reproved.

  I can recall even where I live every now and then there is a good "house cleaning" of the dubs. Especially amongst the teens that have been out partying and then after have a bad conscience. They start to confess and "rating out" on their fellow party animals It happens all the time.

  WTS quietly discarding end-times signs?

  back in 1995 a major change took place in the witnesses' 'understanding' of the generation that was foretold to see the end of the current 'system of things'.. no longer was it to be a literal generation that would see both the beginning of times of distress in 1914 and the culmination at armageddon.

  instead the wts claimed 'new light' in interpreting the generation as applying to whichever generation of people were alive to see the final end.. also in 1995 another change took place that did not receive the same attention and may have remained unnoticed by the rank and file witnesses.

  repeating a point already made in a watchtower issue of 1993, a new textbook to be used in the proselytising work (the knowledge book) was released.

  i have to share this great valentines day experience with you.

  i was in class today and this young, good looking guy came in with about 4 dozen, beautiful long stemmed roses.

  he gave one to every female in class(old, young, thin, fat,gay, straight) who didn't have a valentine!
